Camp Watcha-Wanna-Do Scholarship
Established in 2021 in honor of childhood cancer survivors, kids still fighting, and children who have lost their battle. Until there is a Cure, There is a Camp!
Our Mission
The Camp Watcha-Wanna-Do scholarship supports college-bound students who are childhood cancer survivors, siblings of children with cancer, or bereaved siblings who have lost a brother or sister to cancer.
Eligibility Requirements
- • High school senior or college student
- • Childhood cancer survivor, sibling, or bereaved sibling
- • Enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited college/university
- • Maintaining satisfactory academic progress
- • Demonstrated financial need
- • U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- • Do NOT have to be a past camper

How to Apply
Our scholarship is managed through The Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne. Follow these steps to apply:
Create Your Account
If you have not applied for a scholarship with The Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne before, you will need to create an account — it's super easy! If you already have an account, simply log in.
Start the Universal Application
Once logged in, use the first link which is the Universal Application. This single application gives you access to apply for multiple scholarships at once!
Select Your Eligibility Criteria
You will select all the criteria that applies to you. Be sure to click either or both of these criteria (towards the bottom of the list) to be eligible for the CWWD scholarship:
Complete & Submit
Different scholarships may require different extras, but you can always go back into your account to upload additional documents if needed. As you complete steps of the process, you will receive email communications confirming completion.
CWWD Scholarship Requirements
The Camp Watcha-Wanna-Do scholarship does not require financial paperwork, but we do require letters of recommendation and an essay.
What Happens Next?
We will reach out to you via phone and/or email with your scholarship status. If you are awarded the scholarship, we will communicate the next steps at that time.
